Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister and Deputy Chairman of Kyrgyzstan's Security Council, in a meeting in Tehran on Sunday, discussed issues of mutual interest, including ways of improving trade and business between two countries.

Iran PressIran news: Vice President and Chairman of the Kyrgyz National Security Council Taalatbek Masadykov who traveled to Tehran at the formal invitation of Iran's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of Iran' SNSC, on Sunday evening met Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

In the meeting, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian emphasized preparing grounds to expand cooperation through establishing direct flights between the two countries' capitals to facilitate the movement of businessmen.  

Amirabdollahian stressed the significance of a pilot operation of a railway between Iran's southern port city of Bandar Abbas and Kyrgyzstan.

In his part, Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyzstan Security Council expressed hope that with the end of the elections in Kyrgyzstan, a new round of cooperation between the two countries in different areas. 

The Kyrgyz official arrived in Tehran for a three-day visit with the Iranian officials. 

Taalatbek Masadykov met on Sunday morning with the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, and discussed regional and international cooperation.
