IP- Iran's Foreign Ministry deputy for political affairs met with the United Arab Emirates officials in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday to discuss bilateral cooperation during a visit to the country.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to UAE's state news agency (WAM), Ali Bagheri Kani met with the diplomatic adviser to the UAE Emir, Anwar Gargash, and Emirati minister of state for foreign affairs Khalifa Shaheen Almarar.

The news agency reported that the discussions stressed the importance"e of strengthening relations "based on good design"bourliness and mutual respect," working for more excellent regional stability and prosperity, and developing bilateral economic and commercial ties.

The Iranian diplomat called his visit to the UAE the opening of a new page in Iran-UAE relations.

Gargash, earlier this month, said that the UAE was taking steps to de-escalate tensions with Iran.
