Kabul (IP) – Head of the Centre for International Affairs and Coordination of Water and Electricity Diplomacy of Iran's Energy Ministry said that Tehran is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in empowering the country's electricity industry.

Iran PressAsia: In an interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the meeting of Iranian and Taliban delegations in Kabul on Wednesday, Mohammad-Ali Farahnakian stated: "Iran has been in talks with Afghanistan to develop electronic communications, and these talks are still ongoing."

He noted that about two weeks ago, a delegation of high-ranking officials of the new Afghan government traveled to Tehran, and good talks were held on electricity cooperation, and now these talks are being pursued in Kabul.

He announced Iran's readiness to provide its technical and engineering capabilities in the electricity industry to Afghanistan and help the country in training electricity experts.
