Tehran (IP) - The Judiciary spokesman says that the Judiciary System has taken significant steps to classify prisons and separate offenders.

Iran PressIran news: In response to a question of Iran Press on prisoners' classification, Zabihullah Khodaeian said on Tuesday that significant efforts were made to classify prisons and separate offenders from each other based on their committed crimes.

Kodaeian told IP that the measures were taken as the Judicial Transformation Document and the executive regulations of the country's prisons emphasize the matter, but yet it took time to be completed.

"The classification of unintended murdering, juvenile, narcotics sections as well as the separation the offenders from criminals have been done, but complete classification requires time, enough space, and human resources," Khodaeian also went on to underline.

The Judiciary Spokesman expressed hope that all of the prisons and prisoners would be classified soon in tight cooperation with the government.

Commemorating the the10th anniversary of the martyrdom of Maj. Gen. Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, Khodaeian said that Tehrani Moghaddam deserves the honorific title 'Father of Iran's Missile Program'.

Speaking at his press conference, Zabihullah Khodaeian noted: "Iran owes its security and sovereignty to those who sacrificed and devoted their lives to defend the country, so considering this fact, the enemies no more talk about military option as an alternative for negotiations."
