India reports 8,865 new COVID-19 cases, lowest in 287 days

India saw a significant decline in COVID-19 cases, on Tuesday, with 8,865 new possibilities in the last 24 hours, the lowest in 287 days.

Iran PressAsia: The fresh cases reported today are 13.3% lower than yesterday. The fresh count brings India's total caseload to 34,456,401.

A total of 11,971 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 33,861,756 across the country. With this, India's recovery rate now stands at 98.27%.

Active COVID-19 cases declined by 3,303 in the last 24 hours and India's active caseload stands at 130,793.

The death toll due to the disease has climbed to 463,852, with197 more fatalities in the last 24 hours.

A total of 5,975,469 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours which brings the total tally of doses administered to 1,129,784,045.
