Iran Press/Asia: Given the rising trend of Covid-19 cases in the state of Kerala, India, for the fourth time in a row, added more than 40,000 Covid-19 cases, raising fears about the probable third wave in the country.
A total of 42,776 new coronavirus cases were reported in the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total caseload of the country to 30.7 million since the onset of the pandemic.
The daily Covid-19 tally registered on Friday is a little less than the number of fresh cases reported on Thursday.
The global death toll is 4,037,447 with 186,946,640 confirmed COVID cases.
