Dep. FM stresses on lifting sanctions in Europe visit

Tehran (IP) - Ending his visit to four European countries, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs said the focus in the trips was on the lifting of all sanctions on Iran.

Iran PressIran news: In a Friday tweet, Ali Bagheri-Kani wrote: "Effective removal of unlawful sanctions and importance of assurances on non-repetition was emphasized."

"During visit to France, Germany, UK, and Spain, I had serious and constructive discussions on bilateral, regional and international issues including the upcoming negotiations. Also has several interviews with media."

In Spain, he met with his counterpart Ángeles Moreno. Extensive issues of political, economic, and cultural relations between Iran and Spain were discussed in the meeting.

Ali Bagheri-Kani traveled to Europe for a four-day diplomatic tour and met with officials from the Foreign Ministries of France, Germany, Britain, and Spain.

At the end of the meeting, Bagheri-Kani invited his counterpart to hold a new round of political consultations between the two countries in Tehran in the near future, which was welcomed by the Spanish side.
