Iran, Pakistan confer on boosting maritime cooperation

Tehran(IP)- The Commander of the Border guards of Iran Police and the Director-General of the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency reviewed the latest developments related to bilateral cooperation in the field of the sea, border management, operations, and simultaneous patrols.

Iran PressIran news: The virtual meeting between Iran and Pakistan was held on Friday, in the presence of the delegations of the Border Command of the Iranian police force and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency.

During the meeting, Brigadier General Ahmad Ali Goudarzi, Commander of the Border Guards of the Islamic Republic of Iran Police together with senior officials from the security, legal and naval departments of the police force, as well as Colonel Mostafa Ghanbarpour, Iran's military attaché in Pakistan, representing the Iranian delegation.

Rear Admiral Muhammad Shuaib, Director General of Pakistan  Maritime Security Agency, Deputy Director-General, Operations, and Legal Officers, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense of Pakistan who were present, discussed and examined ways of mutual cooperation and different ideas in the field of security, protection of fishermen, operations and simultaneous patrols.

The Commander of the Border guards of Iran Police and the Director-General of the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency also agreed to expand joint cooperation and future assistance to each other in various fields.
