Parliament puts family policies on top of agenda

Tehran (IP) - The Speaker of Iran's Parliaments says the issue of family is on top priority of the policy-makings.

Iran PressIran news: In a Monday Tweet, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf wrote: "The law on 'Support for Family and Young Population' has one main goal that is to put the interests of family on the priority of policy-makings."

Ghalibaf added: "According to the law, families are given priority in various areas of economic, educational, employment support as well as in the allocation of public resources." 

"The law specifically emphasized the support for young couples or those on the verge of marriage, as well as the general support for [house-holder] mothers, working or educating mothers, in order to reduce the additional pressure on them," he noted.
