Iran Press/ Asia: According to Iran press News agency on Monday, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India, Ali Chegeni added: "The visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian to India promises a new era for the two countries."
Chegeni also said that Iran has no restrictions, bans or obstacles to develop relations with India.
Chegeni also said about the Chabahar port project in Iran: "Although India considers the Chabahar port project as a 'golden gate to Afghanistan', Central Asia and Eastern Europe, but sufficient activity is not done by India.
Chegeni said that Chabahar would not be subject to illegal US sanctions on paper, adding: "There is still concern from the Indian side and there may be some concern from third parties about investing and working in Chabahar."

The Iranian ambassador to India also referred to the developments in Afghanistan and said: "Iran is participating in talks at the level of national security advisers on Afghanistan in New Delhi, which will be hosted by India National Security Advisor Ajit Doval."
"Afghanistan should not become a place where terrorists can use it against neighboring countries and the region," Chegeni said.
"The people of Afghanistan have the right to enjoy a good life. We feel that fire in our neighboring country will bring fire home. Instability in Afghanistan will also affect neighboring countries," he concluded.
