Kabul (IP) - The Turkmen Foreign Minister has traveled to the Afghan capital Kabul to discuss political issues with Taliban officials after attending the second meeting of Afghanistan's neighbors in Tehran.

Iran PressAsia: Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rasit Meredow arrived at Kabul International Airport on Saturday morning and was welcomed by Taliban Foreign Minister Maulvi Amir Khan Mottaki and Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, IranPress reported.

Earlier, the Turkmen foreign minister visited Iran and addressed the second meeting of Afghanistan's neighbors in Tehran.

Regarding the message of the second meeting of Afghanistan's neighbors in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that peace could only come through an inclusive government and respect for the will of the Afghan people.

Turkmen Foreign Minister also met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in Tehran and said that Turkmenistan supported the Islamic Republic of Iran's initiative on Afghanistan and was ready to have close relations and cooperation with Iran at all regional levels.
