Iran Press/ Iran News: The problem caused difficulties for gas station and diesel suppliers in Iran, including the city of Isfahan, their activities were temporarily suspended. Fatemeh Kahi, the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIOPDC) spokeswoman, said that efforts were being made to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
Masoud Rezaei, director of the Intelligent Fuel System in Iran, also said that fuel stations are gradually being set up to supply fuel.
Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi also said it is just a technical problem and would be resolved soon.
Some news sources, however, report a cyberattack on the system.
State television quoted an unnamed official in the country's National Security Council acknowledging the cyberattack hours after it aired images of long lines of cars waiting to fill up in Tehran.
