Tehran (IP) – Iran’s foreign minister says Iran and Turkmenistan promised to sign an inclusive cooperation document.

Iran PressIran News: Attending a press conference after a two-hour meeting with his Turkmen counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, stated that Tehran and Ashgabat are holding joint commission cooperation in Tehran, besides meeting of Afghanistan’s neighbors.

He noted that Iran and Turkmenistan would revise the cooperation documents between the two countries.

“We have almost talked about all issues and maximizing the business trade was one of them,” he said.

“Transit ways in four points between Iran and Turkmenistan will be reopened since we have witnessed decrease in COVID cases,” Amir-Abdollahian added.

Iran’s foreign minister went on to say that there were also talks on water and electricity, and an agreement was reached.

“Since Iran imports electricity through Sarakhs and Gonbad cities, it was decided to sign an agreement in this regard too,” he said.

He added that Iran and Turkmenistan would also cooperate in academic and university fields.

He pointed out that there were also consultations between two countries about the lasted issue in the region and west Asia, especially Afghanistan.
