Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Thursday that 165 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 124,928.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 22, 2021, a total number of 5,844,589 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 5,388,496 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 11,064 cases, out of whom 1,477 patients were hospitalized.

4,422 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 34,551,206 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 9 cities are red, 106 are orange, 228 are yellow, and 105 are blue zones.

So far, 50,373,488 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 28,291,777 have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 78,665,265 doses.
