Tehran (IP) - Iran's customs spokesman announced a 52 percent increase in Iran's trade with its neighbors.

Iran PressIran news: "In the first half of this year, Iran's trade with 15 neighboring countries was more than 47 million tons of goods worth $ 22.5 billion," said Seyed Ruhollah Latifi, Iran's customs spokesman.

Iran's customs spokesman added: "Iran's exports to neighboring countries in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year increased by 33% in weight and 41% in value."

The Iranian customs spokesman also announced the return of Saudi Arabia to Iran's export destinations.

As a country located in West Asia, Iran has land borders with Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey and Iraq, and shares maritime borders with the Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait that can use the benefits of the neighborhood by increasing trade.
