Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Sunday that 199 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 124,075.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 17, 2021, 5,784,815 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 5,324,108 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 11,396 cases, out of whom 1,482 patients were hospitalized.

4,769 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 34,800,636 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, nine cities are red, 106 are orange, 228 are yellow, and 105 are blue zones.

So far, 48,474,187 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 24,169,335 have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 72,643,522 doses.
