Exports of Hormozgan customs goods increased by 21%

Hormozgan (IP) - The supervisor of Hormozgan customs of Iran said that in the first half of this year in the Iranian calendar (starting from March 21, 2021), 21 million and 608 thousand tons of goods were exported from the province's customs, which had increased by 21% compared to last year.

Iran PressIran news: Abolfazl Akbarpour on Saturday in explaining the 6-month performance of the Hormozgan customs announced: "This amount of exported goods worth 7 billion and 654 million dollars, which in terms of value has a 61 percent increase compared to the previous year."

He said: "16 million tons of these goods were related to non-oil exports worth more than five billion and 861 million dollars, which compared to the same period last year increased by 16 percent in weight and 47 percent in dollar value."

The supervisor of Hormozgan customs of Iran stated: "These exported items include iron ore and its concentrates, ethylene polymers, mineral, and chemical fertilizers, etc., which have been exported to China, UAE, Thailand, India, Oman, and Ghana."

Hormozgan is one of the southern provinces of Iran, which is located in the north of the Strait of Hormuz. It is the tourism and economic hub of Iran. The waters of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are located in the south of Hormozgan province.
