Iran Press/ Iran news: Shahid Rajaei port has become an important center of container activities in the region with ten container wharf posts, strategic location, and advanced equipment.
Shahid Rajaei port is considered Iran's largest commercial and container port with its maritime relations and trade of goods with 80 international ports, including Southeast Asia.
Alireza Mohammadi-Karajiran, director-general of Ports and Maritime Organization in Hormozgan province, said on Saturday that Shahid Rajaei has an annual capacity of unloading and loading more than 100 million tons of goods.
Mohammadi-Karajiran stressed that by taking advantage of Iran's new membership opportunities in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), especially the strengthening of combined transport, the capacity of Shahid Rajaei port can be used to further the prosperity of the national and regional economy.
