Iran Press/ Asia: Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, the Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff, along with members of the high-ranking military defense delegation, visited factories of shipbuilding, submarines, and warships in the port city of Karachi.
The Iranian delegation also visits Pakistan Coast Guard in Karachi.
In the meeting of General Bagheri and Pakistan military officials, it was also planned that the two countries work closely together to construct and maintain ships and submarines.
During the discussion, Major General Bagheri met with the Commander of the Southern Fleet and the Commander of the Pakistan Navy in "Karachi." He stressed the importance of maritime security at the common maritime borders, conducting joint exercises and reciprocal visits to each other's ports.
The two sides also agreed to provide mutual training in various fields, transfer of maritime experiences, and the removal of barriers to the fight against naval drug traffickers and fighting against terrorism.
During a meeting and consultations between the Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and Pakistan naval and security officials based in Karachi, the two sides stressed that neighbors' cooperation could only ensure regional safety.
Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major-General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri paid an official visit to Pakistan on Tuesday to expand the country's military diplomacy.
General Bagheri visits the Pakistani marine fleet in the port city of Karachi on the fourth day of his official trip to Pakistan.
In the past days, Maj. Gen. Bagheri had met and consulted with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and Pakistan's Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Nadeem Raza.
