Bandar Abbas(IP): The Export of Container goods from Shahid Rajaee port in Hormozagan Province, Southern Iran, has been increased by 18 percent during the last six months.

Shahid Rajaei Port, as the largest container port in Iran with an annual capacity of six and a half million containers, also is one of the most important ports in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of ​​Oman in export, transit, and import of goods.

Shahid Rajaei commercial port, exporting and transiting goods, plays a vital role in importing essential goods to Iran, with the possibility of rail transportation from Shahid Rajaei port to different regions of Iran.

According to Alireza Mohammadi Karajiran, Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Hormozgan Province, 1,556,063 tons of essential goods were unloaded in Shahid Rajaei port in the last six months, which is an increase of 44% compared
