Moscow (IP): During a press conference with his Russian counterpart, the Iranian Foreign Minister says that Iran is a country of dialogue and negotiation, but a negotiation that guarantees the rights of the Iranian people.

Iran PressEurope: Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who arrived in Moscow last night (Tuesday) at the head of a delegation, met with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday before attending a joint press conference.

During the press conference, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said: "We agreed to review the strategic document of cooperation between the two countries in the near future. We emphasized the development of cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, political defense, and security, but in the field of trade and economy, we have a long way to go and we have a lot of potentials."

Referring to the situation in the South Caucasus, the Iranian Foreign Minister said: "We will not accept the geopolitical change of the region in the Caucasus and we are worried about the presence of Zionists and terrorists. We are worried about the provocative actions of the Zionist regime. We will ensure the security of the region and the Islamic Republic. Our message to our neighbors is peace and tranquility."

The Iranian foreign minister quoted Lavrov as saying that the Russian foreign minister underscored that the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi must have more trips to Iran. "Any time Grossi wants to travel within the framework of his technical mission, we welcome his visit. However, we complain that the IAEA did not react to the terrorist incident in Karaj," he said.

Amir-Abdollahian also talked about returning to the Vienna talks, noting: "I consulted with Lavrov in this regard and I emphasized that we will resume the talks soon. Iran is a country of dialogue and negotiation, but a negotiation that guarantees the rights of the Iranian people and forces all parties to return to their commitments."

Regarding the Iran-Saudi Arabia talks, he noted: "A new round of talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia has been held and we presented constructive ideas in our last meeting. Iran is ready to return to normal relations with Saudi Arabia, but it depends on the decision of the Saudi side."
