Tehran(IP): The Japanese ambassador in Tehran called Iran's success in the fight against narcotics the result of Iran's anti-narcotics police's efforts.

Iran PressIran News: Ikawa Kazutoshi, in a meeting with Iran's Anti-Narcotics Police Chief Brigadier General Majid Karimi, while emphasizing the opportunity, stressed the need to improve bilateral cooperation and said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran plays a significant role in the fight against narcotics in the world, and these successes are the result of the boundless efforts of the Anti-Narcotics Police of the Islamic Republic of Iran against this scourge."

"The successful achievements of the Anti-Narcotics Police of the Islamic Republic of Iran are very important and we hope that these experiences and knowledge of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be shared with other countries of the world by holding annual international meetings and summits," he added.

Brigadier General Karimi also emphasized improving the level of bilateral cooperation in the field of combating drug trafficking and drug transit.

He added: "We hope to see favorable measures in the field of combating drug trafficking and transit at the regional and international levels by improving the level of bilateral cooperation."
