Second shipment of single-dose COVID-19 vaccines entered Iran

Tehran (IP) - Secretary-General of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) announced the arrival of the 6 million single-dose COVID-19 vaccines shipment on Thursday.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Hassan Ghousian Moghaddam said that the second shipment of 6 million single-doses of corona vaccines prepared by this society has entered Iran and, adding: "In the first week of Mehr (Late September), two shipments of 12 million single-doses of corona vaccines entered the country, both of which were 6 million single-doses of Sinopharm and suitable for ages under 17."

According to Ghousian Moghaddam, IRCS has imported 52 million and 390 thousand vaccine doses to Iran since six months ago.  

The Secretary-General of the Red Crescent Society of Iran also said: "The Red Crescent is currently cooperating with 296 joint centers to expedite the nationwide vaccination, and in 22 centers it has put the vaccination of citizens on the agenda independently."
