New York (IP) – Iranian Foreign Minister met with Iraqi President on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Iran Press/America: During the meeting with Barham Salih, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian underlined the strategic relations between Iran and Iraq and announced Tehran's readiness to expand ties in all aspects.

Barham Salih also outlined Baghdad's firm determination to improve relations comprehensively.

The two sides also exchanged views on various issues of interest, including the latest developments in Afghanistan, Syria, Bahrain, and Yemen. 

Amir Abdolhian, who is in New York for four days to attend the 76th Annual Session of the UN General Assembly, has met with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, and had bilateral meetings with the Foreign Ministers of France and Britain.
