Behshahr (IP) - Iran's parliament speaker, stressed the need to use the capacity of the special economic port of Amirabad in Behshahr, Mazandaran province in northern Iran, in the process of developing trade with Eurasia.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf on Thursday, during a visit to Amirabad Special Economic Port in Behshahr Mazandaran Province, Northern Iran, referred to the selection of this port as Iran's gateway to the Eurasian Union, saying: "Utilizing the capacity of Amirabad port, the volume of Iran's economic exchanges with the Caspian littoral states will increase."

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly emphasized the importance of economic relations in the approach taken by the parliament, adding: "The Parliament will use important economic capabilities."

Ghalibaf stressed the need to increase the port capacity and unloading docks and warehouses for storing goods in this economic unit.

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly called ports Iran's economic bottlenecks and added: "Solving the problems of ports and large economic centers requires national and revolutionary will."

During this visit, Mohammad-Ali Saeedipoor, CEO of Amirabad Behshahr Special Economic Port, presented a report on the process of unloading and loading goods in this port, referring to the increase of 100,000 hectares of the port and investment to build wharves and warehouses.
