Tehran (IP) - Iranian Army Chief-Commander says the army is fully ready to help and cooperate with the Health Ministry to curb COVID-19.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at a meeting to discuss how to curb COVID-19 at Iran's Health Ministry, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi stated: " Helping the Health Ministry is the Army's duty and is ready to offer any needed services."

"The condition is improving and we hope with nationwide vaccination the situation get better," he added.

Also, the Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Force stated that the Ground Force had established 8 permanent full-equipped respiratory hospitals and allocated 28 of its hospitals to admit COVID patients.

Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari noted that 17 oxygen-storage systems were installed in Zahedan, Mashhad, Esfahan, and Qom to help the Health Ministry control the virus.

Highlighting the Army's non-stop extensive efforts to fight the disease since its outbreak, he added: " Army's Ground Force's vaccination centers are also ready for nationwide vaccination." 

Bahram Einollahi, the Minister of Health and Medical Education of Iran on Monday on the sidelines of the beginning of the third phase of the clinical trial of the Iranian vaccine 'Fakhra' stated that that Fakhra is one of the high-quality and effective vaccines.

The third phase of the Fakhra Iranian vaccine clinical trial was held in the presence of the Minister of Defense and Minister of Health in Tehran.
