Birjand (IP) - Cross-border markets are an opportunity that can help boost exports, Iran's president said in Birjand.

Iran Press/Iran news: During his one-day visit to South Khorasan province, Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Birjand and was welcomed by the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the province and the governor-general.

Upon his arrival to Birjand, he spoke about the government's plans to activate border markets and said: "The border market is an opportunity and the activation of these markets can lead to the expansion and development of exports."

The President noted that the activation of border markets is essential and can improve the economic situation of border residents and contribute to border security.

Raisi: Tourism economy of Tabas, South Khorasan should be activated

Addressing the people of Tabas, Ebrahim Raisi stated that South Khorasan and Tabas provinces have the capital of capable, active, and thoughtful young people, adding: "Development and construction in the country is done in different sectors with the support of the government and the efforts of the people and the capable hands of the country's young generation."

Roads and urban development are under study: Raisi reassures 

Pointing out that the Minister of Roads and Urban Development has done good studies to improve the roads in the province, and their implementation is on their agenda, the President said: "All these cases will be pursued. We have very good young, educated people, scholars, and hardworking and hopeful people in this region who work with hope, and this is a good investment for the country and a good support for the government."

On his third provincial trip, Ebrahim Raisi traveled to Tabas city this morning and, in addition to meeting with the city's people and giving a speech to them, visited the Parvadeh coal mine and talked with the workers and engineers.

Meeting with representatives of different groups of people, scholars and thinkers, elites and activists of South Khorasan province, and attending the province's administrative council are amongst the most important programs of the President in Birjand.
