Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Foreign Minister announced the special emphasis and efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on implementing the strategic partnership agreement and pursuing a program to develop relations with China.

Iran PressIran news: In a telephone conversation with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Wang Yi, a member of the Chinese State Council and Foreign Minister, congratulated the inauguration of the Iranian Foreign Minister.

Emphasizing that China's focus is on the comprehensive development of bilateral relations, Wang Yi stressed the Chinese President's serious efforts to develop relations between the two countries, adding: "We believe that any change or obstacle at the international level can disrupt the lasting relations between the two countries."

The 25-year strategic partnership document

The Chinese Foreign Minister reiterated his country's readiness to implement the agreements between the two countries, including the 25-year strategic partnership document and the follow-up to the agreements reached in a telephone conversation between the two presidents.

Wang Yi stressed that the international community has no choice but to fight global unilateralism and bullying.

Large volume of Sinopharm vaccine to be sent to Iran

The Chinese Foreign Minister also announced in this conversation that a large volume of Sinopharm vaccine would be sent to Iran in September and the coming days.

In this telephone conversation, the Iranian Foreign Minister also emphasized the strategic relations between the two sides and the long-standing friendship of the people of the two countries and thanked China for its support for Iran's accession to the Shanghai Agreement.

US unilateralism; threat to world peace and stability

Amir-Abdollahian described US unilateralism as a threat to world peace and stability and stressed Iran's firm policy of opposing some powers interfering in the internal affairs of other countries, including China.

He assessed Iran-China relations based on strategic friendship and old partnership and clarified Iran's will to develop relations with China fully.

The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the need to expedite the receipt of the COVID-19 vaccine as much as possible within the framework of the agreement between the two presidents.

US responsible for current situation in Afghanistan

The two sides stressed the need to form an inclusive government with all ethnic groups and groups in Afghanistan, the fight against terrorism and narcotics as an important priority. They also emphasized the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid, and efforts to open border crossings.

The two sides also stressed that the United States is responsible for the current situation in Afghanistan and that its role over the past two decades has been unconstructive.

The Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People's Republic of China agreed to meet on the sidelines of the Shanghai Summit.
