Tehran (IP): Iran's Deputy Health Minister said that 87% of people above sixty years old are vaccinated in the first phase.

Iran PressIran news: Attending a press conference on the sidelines of the 20th meeting with the chancellors of the medical science universities, Alireza Raisi said the medical staff were vaccinated in the second phase and in the third phase people with special diseases were vaccinated by 90%, adding that the fourth phase had begun.

Raisi went on to say that about 42 million people must be vaccinated in the fourth phase and that 84 million doses of vaccine were required, so from the next week about 5 million doses would be imported weekly.

The deputy minister estimated that 50 million doses of coronavirus vaccines would be imported to Iran within the next two months to speed up the vaccination process.

Referring to the domestic and foreign vaccines, the health official told the reporters that the efficiency of all kinds of coronavirus vaccines was proved, and no serious side effects were reported.
