IP - The head of Iran's National Media said the United States invaded Afghanistan in 2001 to intimidate Iran, but its plots failed, and the US scandalous withdrawal from Afghanistan proved the failure of Washington's policies.

Iran PressIran News: Attending the opening ceremony of media projects in Eastern Azerbaijan province, northeastern Iran, Abdulali Ali-Askari said if the US failed in hard war it would resort to soft war.

"If the US loses a hard war, it is pursuing its goals through soft war, and the enemy is waging a soft war against us; We must be very vigilant in this regard, " he said.

Ali-Askari stated, "We are in ultimate peace now, and yet in the midst of [the enemies'] soft war, and know that today soft war threatens our identity and culture."

Ali-Askari expressed hope that all people understood the soft war conditions and became alert in the path.
