Tehran (IP) – Iran's deputy Defense minister for coordination said all armed forces and the Defense Ministry had encouraged the Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO) to engage in curbing the pandemic.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 'Aviation Vaccination Collaborative Center' of the Ministry of Defense and in an interview with Iran Press on the importance of the center activities and its effect on accelerating COVID vaccination, Brigadier-General Saeed Sha'abanian stated that implementing the nationwide vaccination plan indicates that the number of vaccination centers is not enough, so the centers must be increased.

"We think that by injecting about a thousand jabs per day, which can also be increased, the 'Aviation Vaccination Collaborative Center' of the Ministry of Defense will reap promising result to contain the outbreak," he noted.

The 'Aviation Vaccination Collaborative Center' of the Ministry of Defense was inaugurated on Monday, August 30, with Deputy Minister of Defense for Coordination Brigadier-General Saeed Sha'abanian, Deputy Defense Minister and Head of Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO) Brigadier-General Afshin Khajeh-Fard, and the Head of Tehran's Task Force for Combatting Coronavirus Alireza Zali in attendance at IAIO site in Tehran.
