Iran’s capital COVID-19 death toll declines by 7%

Tehran (IP) - The head of the National Task Force for Combating Coronavirus has highlighted that with nationwide vaccination in Tehran, the death toll has declined by seven percent and normal hospitalizations 3 percent, and the number of hospitalizations in the intensive care unit has decreased by about two percent.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 'Aviation Vaccination Collaborative Center' of the Ministry of Defense, Alireza Zali announced that the center was the second vaccine injection center of the Ministry of Defense, noting: "Nationwide vaccination in the country should be accelerated and to achieve adequate collective safety, 81% of the target population must be vaccinated."

Zali also said that as of this morning, 4,710,000 people have received the first dose of the vaccine in Tehran, of which 1,700,000 have received both doses of the vaccine.

The 'Aviation Vaccination Collaborative Center' of the Ministry of Defense, was inaugurated on Monday, with Deputy Minister of Defense for Coordination Brigadier General Saeed Sha'abanian, Deputy Defense Minister and Head of Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO) Brigadier General Afshin Khajehfard, and the head of Tehran Task Force for Combating Coronavirus Alireza Zali in attendance at Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO), Tehran.
