Iran FM meets Turkish counterpart

Baghdad (IP) - The Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey met on the sidelines of the Baghdad summit.

Iran PressMiddle East: Iran's Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Turkey's Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met each other on the sidelines of the Baghdad summit on Sunday and talked about the regional issues. 

In his speech at the Baghdad summit, the Iranian Minister said that the Islamic Republic of Iran respects Iraq's sovereignty as its neighbor and welcomes Baghdad's role as a player for sustainable regional stability.

The new Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Amir-Abdullahian, arrived in Baghdad this morning to attend the meeting and on his first foreign trip since taking office.
