Iran voices readiness to increase electricity supply to Pakistan, Afghanistan

Tehran(IP): The CEO of Iran Electricity Network Management Company has announced that it is possible to increase the supply of electricity to Pakistan and Afghanistan by more than 400 MW.

Iran PressIran News: According to the public relations of Iran Electricity Network Management Company, Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, CEO of Iran Electricity Network Management Company, said: "Iran is interested in developing relations and also exporting more electricity to Pakistan."

Rajabi Mashhadi added: "The transmission line to the Pakistani border has also been built to supply electricity to Pakistan's Gwadar port, but the electricity network in this country is not yet available."

Regarding the export of electricity to Afghanistan, the CEO of Iran Electricity Network Management Company also said: "We also export electricity to Afghanistan and the total electricity export to Afghanistan and Pakistan is less than 100 MW."
