Iran Press/ Middle East: The blast is said to have been caused by a technical malfunction in the polyethylene production facility. A few seconds later, a cloud of black smoke covered the area.
Earlier, a spokesman for the Israeli army announced that a naval sailor was wounded when an army ship caught fire at one of the Israeli naval bases in northern occupied Palestine.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the sailor was taken to hospital and is in critical condition. The fire occurred during routine ship inspection and repair activities.
An Israeli army spokesman said the cause of the accident was still unknown and that an investigation was underway.
