Tehran (IP) - The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, spoke by telephone with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin about the situation in Afghanistan and the revival of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

Iran PressIran news: In the phone call, the two sides expressed their readiness to help bring peace and stability to Afghanistan.

They also discussed the prospect of resuming talks to implement the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Raisi and Putin expressed their satisfaction with the level of relations between the two countries during the telephone conversation.

They also discussed the preparations for the SCO summit, considering the official request of Iran to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Cooperation in the fight against the Coronavirus was another topic of discussion between the two presidents.
