Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that COVID-19 had taken 583 lives during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 99,691.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to August 18, 2021, a total number of 4,556,417 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 3,814,127 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 39,174 cases, out of whom 5,380 patients were hospitalized.

7,490 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 27,485,096 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 359 cities are red, 59 are orange, and 30 are yellow zones.

So far, 16,049,045 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 5,063,519 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 21,112,564 doses.
