Daily death toll soars as 5th COVID wave rampaging in Iran

Tehran (IP) - Iran Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that 568 COVID-19 patients had succumbed to death during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 96,215.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to August 12, 2021, 4,320,266 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 3,647,016 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 39,049 cases, out of whom 4,938 patients were hospitalized.

7,048 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 26,889,997 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 336 cities are red, 84 are orange, and 28 are yellow zones.

So far, 14,229,120 people have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 3,531,142 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 17,760,262 doses.
