Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Monday that 588 COVID-19 patients had succumbed to death during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 94,603.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to August 09, 2021, on Monday, 4,199,537 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 3,565,575 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 40,808 cases, out of whom 4,102 patients were hospitalized.

6,561 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 26,586,805 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 336 cities are red, 84 are orange, and 28 are yellow zones.

So far, 13,002,245 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 3,146,130 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 16,148,375 doses.
