Iran COVID death toll reaches 542 cases per day

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Sunday that 542 COVID-19 patients had succumbed to death during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 94,015.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to August 08, 2021, on Sunday, 4,158,729 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 3,539,035 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 39,619 cases, out of whom 4,102 patients were hospitalized.

6,462 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 26,494,040 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 336 cities are red, 84 are orange, and 28 are yellow zones.

So far, 12,589,587 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 3,072,371 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 15,661,958 doses.
