Tehran (IP) - Foreign Ministry spokesman has rejected the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security policy remarks regarding merchant vessel Mercer Street as irresponsible and biased.

Iran PressIran news: Attending his weekly press conference, foreign ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh responded to the Iran Press' question on Josep Borrell's remarks, accusing such remarks of being irresponsible and biased.

“It is surprising that after Iran’s position on rejecting G7 group’s statement, such remarks are repeated", he added.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman went on to say that not only are these remarks rejected, but also they will not create peace and security at the Persian Gulf, the international waterway.

While the Zionist regime is committing sabotage and state terrorism, the EU must not take a position to show its biased behavior because it would rather question the credibility of its own speech, Khatibzadeh concluded.
