Tehran (IP) - Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, visiting Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iran's president, met with Iran's Foreign Minister on Tuesday, and during the meeting, the two sides emphasized strengthening bilateral relations.

Iran PressIran news: Praising the special relations between Iran and Oman and the two sides' efforts in promoting the level of bilateral cooperation, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif emphasized the continuation of expanding relations with neighbors in the future.

Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, while appreciating the 2-year efforts of the Iranian Foreign Minister in expanding bilateral relations with Oman, said: "The policy of the Sultanate of Oman is to expand cooperation with Iran, and in this regard, the new Sultan will follow the path of the late one."

He said that the Kingdom of Oman would make the best of its ability to bring closer the countries' views in the region to strengthen the dialogue.

The spokesman of the presiding board of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran (Parliament) said that the swearing-in ceremony of the 8th President would be held on Thursday in the presence of 115 officials from 73 countries of the world in the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
