Tehran (IP) – Foreign Ministry spokesman called inclusive dialogue the only solution for Tunisia’s crisis.

Iran PressIran News: Attending his weekly press conference and responding to Iran Press' question about the latest developments and people's protests in various cities of Tunisia following the president's decisions, Saeed Khatibzadeh highlighted that the Islamic Republic of Iran watches all movements in Tunisia carefully.

"Iran stands beside Tunisia's government and nation to pass this crisis and believes in talks as the only effective way," he stated.

He noted that the crisis in Tunisia should be resolved through consistent political behavior and decision.

Iran ready to assist all parties in Afghanistan to achieve peace

The spokesman also referred to the dangerous situation in Afghanistan and reiterated that Afghan security is Iran's priority, and the Taliban must consider this fact in all dialogues.

"Iran is ready to assist all parties in Afghanistan and pave the way for the second round of talks as it did in the first round," Khatibzadeh underlined.

"Taliban is a part of today and future of Afghanistan and cannot be neglected," he added.

The spokesman went on to say that talks among various groups in Afghanistan are the only solution to create peace and stability in the country.

Afghanistan's security equals Iran's security and Tehran is in contact with all parties to assist them in reaching a peace deal, Khatibzadeh concluded.
