Tehran (IP) -The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament announced the agreement between Iran and Syria on the development of bilateral economic relations.

Iran PressIran news: Upon his arrival in Tehran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stressed that the economic opportunities in Syria should be extended and that the agreement was finally ratified with a comprehensive agreement already been considered.

Visiting Syria, Iran's Parliament speaker stated: "After Syria gained victory in the fight against terrorists, the presidential election in Syria and the re-election of Bashar al-Assad as the President were among important events in the Arab country."

He noted that a good economic opportunity has been provided for cooperation with Syria, which should be used to the maximum.

Referring to the positive talks held with the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and other officials, Ghalibaf pointed that the agreement between Iran and Syria would be implemented within the next three months. 

Iran's Parliament speaker highlighted that the problems of the private sector were also discussed during this trip. 

He emphasized: "There are many opportunities in different sectors, and we hope that these opportunities will be used the best way possible and that both countries will be benefited from them."

Ghalibaf went on to say that the Syrian Prime Minister will also visit Iran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the next Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi and called this event a good opportunity for further talks.

Heading a delegation containing a number of parliamentarians, Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf returned to Tehran from Syria on Friday afternoon.
