Tehran (IP): Expressing concern over the continuing border clashes between the forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Foreign Ministry spokesman called for restraint on both sides and stressed the need for a peaceful settlement of the border disputes.

He stressed the need for mutual restraint and the peaceful settlement of border disputes between the two countries.

Stating the need for the two countries to overcome tensions and conflicts and the need for all parties to respect the internationally recognized borders, the Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed the need to achieve lasting peace in the South Caucasus region as soon as possible.

He also expressed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s readiness to achieve lasting peace in the region.
