Afghan FM praises Iran's stance toward Afghanistan

Kabul (IP) - Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister met with the Special Representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry for Afghanistan Affairs, to discuss the current situation in the country and the peace process.

Iran PressAsia: During the meeting, the Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran's reasonable stance in support of the peace process in Afghanistan.

Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian Fard also expressed the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the Afghan peace process, adding: "Iran wants to further strengthen cooperation between Kabul and Tehran in various areas, including border cooperation and coordination between the relevant departments of the two countries.”

Atmar described the political, economic, cultural, and trade cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan as an important necessity for the governments and people of the two countries, calling for strengthening cooperation in various fields, especially the peace process in Afghanistan.
