Iranian student wins silver medal at international inventions festival

Tehran (IP) - Erfan Pourjafari, a student of electrical engineering at the Shahid Sadoughi University of Technology in Yazd, Iran, won a silver medal with the 'Alpha Robot' at the Khayyam International Inventions and Innovations Festival.

Iran PressIran news: The competition is hosted by the University of Technology and was attended by participants from 28 countries such as Iran, Canada, Austria, Poland, Italy, South Korea, Japan with the support of countries, research institutes, innovative companies, universities, and scientific centers, Iranian and foreign businesspeople and industrialists.

The festival, which was selected as the only international event by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIIPA) in Iran, was held online due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

The purpose of building the alpha robot is to perform the tasks of a group of widely used industrial machines in the community, such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and drilling machines individually and more accurately.
