Sirjan (IP) - Iran's Health Minister said that Vaccination in Iran using the 'COV-Iran Barakat' vaccine plays an important role in immunizing people against the coronavirus.

Iran PressIran news: The use of the COV-Iran Barakat vaccine has ensured the vaccination process in Iran and this Iranian vaccine is being used more and more over time. The 'Cov-Iran Barakat' vaccine is being injected today in different cities of Iran, including Sirjan in Kerman province, by prioritizing vaccination by age.

Iranian Minister of Health Saeed Namaki emphasized on Sunday that, fortunately, good results and effects were observed from the domestically produced vaccine, and about 1.2 million doses of the 'COV-Iran Barakat' vaccine are delivered to the Ministry of Health every week.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, last Friday, after receiving the second dose of the 'COV-Iran Barakat vaccine', emphasized that it would be necessary to focus on domestic production to prevent people from waiting and delay, and we hope that the vaccine will be distributed easily and smoothly among the people, according to the officials."

In addition to the COV-Iran Barakat vaccine, the joint vaccine of the Cuban Institute of Finlay and the Pasteur Institute of Iran is on its way to the national vaccination plan and is the only vaccine in the world that can fight several mutations of the COVID-19 virus simultaneously.
