Holy Mashhad hosts int'l conference on Persian literature

Mashhad (IP) - The International Conference on Intercultural Dialogues focusing on Persian language and literature began today (Saturday) in Mashhad.

Iran PressIran news: Afshin Tohfehgar, Deputy Chief of Culture and Media of the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Khorasan Razavi, said at the conference at the Faculty of Persian Language and Literature of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad: "In addition to Persian-speaking countries, great guests and professors from other countries have been also attending the conference."

Tohfehgar added: "31 prominent personalities from Iran and 26 prominent foreign personalities from Sri Lanka, India, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Bangladesh attended the 4-day event in the form of workshops focusing on Persian language and literature, art and architecture, religions, mysticism and Sufism, cultural and social studies in Khorasan.

The conference on intercultural talks will continue until July 20.
