General Mir-Assadollah Kouhestani highlighted that the US troops' withdrawal from the base had not had any negative impact on Afghanistan's security, pointing out that the base's management shows the Afghan government's capability.

He said the presence of the Afghan president and national security adviser at Bagram Air Base shows the importance of the base.

General Kouhestani underlined that US troops' withdrawal from Bagram Air Base would not pose any challenge to the Afghan government; on the contrary, it benefits the country because it has provided good strategic facilities to the Afghan government and army.
